Katie was kept back from our first litter.  Let me tell you, she has been a test along the way!  However, she is our first home bred Canadian Champion.  Katie was from a litter of five and the only champion. 

Katie's first litter had two puppies, unfortunatley both puppies bites were off.  Her second litter consited of two puppies again, and Jackson was kept back from that litter.  Her final litter she went out with a bang and had five puppies, one of which was a blue tri.  Katie was and is an incredible mom.  The way she was as a juvenile puppy, we thought she would be the worst mother ever. 
I will never forget her first litter of puppies.  I was changing the whelping box towels and placed the puppies on a towel on the bed.  Katie jumped up on the bed, took the puppies in her mouth and carefully got off the bed and then put them back in the whelping box.  She kept a meticulously clean whelping box and cared, weaned and disciplined her puppies.  Her last litter of puppies, she was still wanting to sleep with them at 7 weeks of age! 

Katie has since been spayed and is apart of what we call the Diva Club (all the spayed females that are enjoying the lap of luxury).  She is the biggest marshmallow now and is my little buddy.  She has to follow me everywhere once I get home from work.
